Officer Eddie Bounds scholarship
This evening, we had the privilege of awarding $2500 scholarships to four very deserving Fletcher High School Seniors in memory and honor of my mentor, coach, and good friend, the late Officer Eddie Bounds. Cayla Bounds and I presented these scholarships to Lennon Arias, Ii, James Jaeger, Reagan Slaveski and Kaden Young for their Outstanding Academic Performance in Education and Leadership and for exhibiting the characteristics of Officer Bounds, who was a great man measured by his deeds to help, assist, befriend, mentor, and coach everyone.
Congratulations and best wishes to each of these students in their future endeavors.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our 5th Annual Scholarship Drive who made this possible. A special thank you to Monkey's Uncle for allowing us to hold our fundraiser there and to Vicki Bost-Hollingsworth for volunteering her time and assistance to be our incredible MC.
It is our hope to continue this tradition to honor Officer Bounds for many years to come.

Eddie Bounds 5th Scholarship Drive
On Saturday, April 4th, 2026, the James Russell Fund will be holding its 5th Annual Scholarship Drive by having a silent auction and raffle. This event will be sponsored by Monkey’s Uncle Tavern located at 1728 3rd Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. Our goal this year is to present a $2500 scholarship to 3 deserving seniors at Duncan U. Fletcher High School in honor of the late Officer Eddie Bounds

Mrs. Janice Bounds and I presented these scholarships to Peyton Brown, Vivianna Rivera, and Riley Probst for their Outstanding Academic Performance in Education and Leadership and for exhibiting the characteristics of Officer Bounds, who was a great man measured by his deeds to help, assist, befriend, mentor, and coach everyone.

Only 50 will be sold.
Winners will be announced at 7:00 p.m. on March 30, 2024 at our Scholarship Drive at Monkey's Uncle.
